Other Business Supports
Small Business Networks
'The importance of networking as a way of keeping in touch with, and learning from others, in the same situation cannot be underestimated'
There are a number of business networks that Cavan business owners may wish to get involved with. These include at a national level the small firms association www.sfa.ie , and www.isme.ie . At a local level the chambers of commerce in Cavan town www.cavanchamber.ie and Cootehill www.cootehillchamber.ie are active. There is also a Cavan branch of Business Network international (BNI) that meet up on a weekly basis.
Other organisations worth investigating include:
- The local Plato Group www.plato.ie
- Irish Business Network - www.bni.eu/ireland
- Irish Business Women - www.irishbusinesswomen.com
- Sunday Times Enterprise Network - www.enterprisenetwork.ie
Business Discussion Forum/Cavan Enterprise Network
An opportunity for business owner/managers across Cavan to be able to meet and chat with other like minded business owners, in an informal setting, about all issues relating to the running of a business. We facilitate a number of meetings over the year discussing a range of topics of interest to the group.
Next Date : to be confirmed - February 2012
The forum offers a chance for owner-managers across the county to meet each other. All discussions that take place are confidential to those present. No minutes. No committee. And finally it as very much a social network too.
If you are interested in participating in the next meeting and you are not already receiving notification of meetings then please email jamesfox@cceb.ie with your contact details.
